WEFIX was created in response to customer demand for a new and superior service after Charlie Mullins who, in 1979, founded what was to become London’s most successful plumbing company before regrettably selling it in 2021 to American private equity who have franchised the business.
WEFIX is a traditional British family business. Founded by 3 generations of the Mullins family.
Call centre – Your call will always be answered by real, experienced, friendly and knowledgeable staff from our London call centre 24/7. Work can be scheduled to suit your convenience.
Customer security – our call centre will provide you the tradesperson's name, photo and vehicle reg. All wear the WEFIX uniform, carry photo ID and drive a liveried vehicle. All have passed a comprehensive background check including DBS clearance.
Tradespeople – fully qualified and experienced, with traditional values and unparalleled work ethic.
Rates – competitive and transparent with no hidden extras. You will only be charged for one tradesperson. If two people are required an apprentice will attend. You will not be charged for two tradespersons, unless two tradespersons are required.

It has been brought to our attention that some tradesmen employed by competitors are overcharging on labour and materials and are obtaining overpriced and falsified receipts to present an inflated invoice to customers - a practice we condemn. We have irrefutable proof that competitors’s tradesmen are engaged in this practice.

WEFIX chairman Charlie Mullins has had no involvement and will not have any association with Pimlico Plumbers since selling the business to American Venture Capatalists in September 2021, who have franchised the business.
WEFIX condemn this practice and will not employ any tradesmen that have been involved in this.
Some franchised engineers are outsourcing work to illegal unqualified foreign labour that have not had a DBS check,
putting customer security and their homes at risk.
Some franchised engineers are not giving any separate breakdown on their invoices of labour, time spent on the job, costs and charges.
No breakdown of materials used and costs and are obtaining fraudulent overpriced material receipts.
They are also obtaining overpriced and falsified receipts for scaffolding being used at jobs.
One company has been known to charge a customer £50,000 to carry out some work, £20,000 fraudulently went to the engineer. £30,000 to the company, the work was not completed and the engineer was allowed to continue working for the company.
A cash deposit was fraudulently taken by an engineer for a bathroom installation and work was never started. The customer contacted the police who stated the engineer had a long criminal record. A police investigation is still ongoing.
They are overcharging customers and have been known to charge £3,000 for one hour's roof work for two men.

“Pimlico Plumbers has changed hands and not up to standard. Now rogue traders and I feel scammed. I paid almost £400 for a half an hour job after the plumber suggested additional work which was unnecessary. What should have been £8 as quoted for a part cost around £200 since they are allowed to charge 45 minutes to obtain a part even if you live two minutes from the plumbers merchant. Work was dragged out and I felt intimidated into paying an excessive bill. They don’t even guarantee the work. Really dreadful experience.”

I don’t have time to waste by waiting in for tradesmen & your company was always on time, smart & highly trained professionals. Unlike last month when they were late!…
You see, I never minded paying extra for those qualities which ALL your staff had whether calling Customer Service or having tradesmen come for a boiler service.Your Customer Service always picked up the phone immediately and actually helped by giving customer service. It’s now quite hard just to get through! And I ask your tradesmen when they visit what it’s like without you at the helm, and they really don’t like it as much.The culture has changed is how it is explained to me. Everyone misses you running the company and your customers, such as myself, do too!
So i am happy to sign up and follow you to your new company WEFIX and i know MANY of your ‘old’ customers will follow suit as i believe there are many like me who would remain loyal to you & swap over.

Pimlico’s plays tactics of intent to deceive, does zero technical work
Pimlico sent a plumber to my place who did zero technical work but instead advised “Found booster pump burned out….. install new at cost of £589 + £125 labour” – but that was a blatant lie, we sent a copy of time stamped video showing that the pump worked perfectly fine. Figured out in fact there was just a simple airlock, which was solved with mere tap opening and vacuum easing off after open/close/re-open. Furious to see tactics of their intent to deceive, they saw the opportunity to exploit a vulnerable family with a little baby – and then sent me invoice of £150 for this deception. There was no technical service conducted by their plumber, and their website said no callout charges – but that was seemed like a gross misrepresentation.”
Punctual and friendly. Relieved to find a replacement for Pimlico Plumbers which are not what they used to be!
