If you’ve read the papers over the last few weeks you’ll know that the Chancellors putting out ‘Wanted Posters’ for anyone she thinks is ‘wealthy’ and just like the Wild West she doesn’t care if you’re Dead or Alive, just as long as you have the precious cash she craves.

The number of ways Rachel Reeves and her financially illiterate Government are plotting to unleash on the UK public appears almost limitless – and this from a party that promised no tax rises on ‘working people’. The sobering truth here is that Starmer and Co. Were elected on the biggest lie since Boris Johnson went into the Bus painting business in 2016.

  • There’s property taxes and higher council tax bands for owning a decent house
  • Halving Cash ISA allowance to £10k
  • A 25-50% gambling tax increase for online bets
  • Capital income hikes for rental income, dividends, interest, self-employment profits and capital gains
  • National Insurance to be levied on rental income
  • Income Tax increase by ‘stealth’ by freezing tax thresholds
  • Pensions – reducing the £25k tax-free lump sum
  • Non-dom reform (already underway)
  • Inheritance Tax increases – tighter relief and gifting rules

There are more, including the bonkers suggestion that electric vehicle (EV) owners could be hit with a £1,500 a year tax on not using fossil fuel to power their personal and business travel. We have the most expensive and dare I say border line criminal electricity in Europe, and after urging people into EV the plan is to bash them over the head with a non-pollution tax.

Labour does not understand business or basic economics. Their plan is to squeeze as much tax out of the economy, with no thought for the future, and then wonder why things are going tits up.

So many people saw this coming 18-months ago but sadly loads more decided to bet that things couldn’t get any worse that the Sunak shit-show. How wrong were they!?
