  7. Make sure you use a company where tradespeople are fully qualified, have photo ID and have company uniform & liveried van
  8. Make sure you are provided with the tradespersons name, photo and vehicle registration before arrival
  9. Do not use a company that has bad reviews and make sure the company has genuine excellent reviews, some companies are putting up false reviews, ask if you can speak to the customer to check if it’s a genuine review.

  18. Do not pay for 2 men unless specifically needed, an apprentice can be used at no charge or 80% cheaper
  19. Do not pay any deposits in cash or for work to the tradesperson. Make sure any payment is by credit card to the company

Refused to pay scam

I got charged for 150 pounds for visit and I have been told to pay additional 1000.00 pounds to fix my boiler , because it is German company Viessmann boiler part will cost 350.00 pounds plus labour 650 that makes 1000 pounds That is half of price of new boiler plus installation! It is scam company , do not trust PP , scammers , I will never ever call them again

Won’t be using them again

PP gave me a 12 to 6 pm time slot for my faulty boiler. They arrived at 6.50 pm,nearly one hour late and couldn’t get parts as everywhere was closed. Firstly,I would have expected a courtesy call to advise me they were going to be late. Secondly,They should call to reschedule. I was charged £180 + VAT for a 15 minute visit to say everything’s closed. Won’t be using them again.

Overpriced and questionable upselling, rude customer service that threatened to report me to debt collection because I challenged their assessment, I was thoroughly disappointed and won’t ever be using them again.

Scammers

Avoid this terrible company at all costs. I have had numerous bad experiences with them. They have literally charged me £500 to change a thermostat that was only replaced a year ago, they didn’t even confirm they were charging that part with me. Just left and said they what they had done. Disgraceful!!! Should be illegal
