The wheels look like they’re really falling off the van at Pimlico Plumbers this week with the news that it’s going up for sale in 2028 as the American owners look to cut their losses after not increasing sales since taking over in 2021.
And a little bird told me yesterday that a team of consultants have been drafted in to try to find out what went wrong and get things working properly again before the company goes on the market. But from what I see and hear I think it’s too late. The rot has set in and trying to bring it back to life is a waste of time.
No apprentices, no 24-hour service, and staff morale and customer confidence at an all-time low, it’s a sad situation to see. How do I know all this? Well, WEFIX London has become the recipient of both the disappointed customers and the cream of their demoralised staff.
It’s hard to imagine a business can get things so wrong in the middle of a skills shortage. All you need to do is listen to your customers, turn up at their homes, do a good job at a fair price and clean up afterwards and you’re golden. But Pimlico doesn’t seem to be able to get those basic steps right.
Just as well WEFIX London is here to sort things out 24-hours per day, every day.
