People always say to me when I get mad with companies that try to use my good name to con customers into using them, that I should be flattered. But to me I don’t see it. What I do see however, is a rouge trader making money under false pretenses.

Basically, I can’t see the difference between fleecing people by lying and straight-out theft. My good name has cost me a huge amount of money and hard work over 50 odd years, and when someone tries to use that they might as well be picking my pocket.

The sad fact of the matter is that all sorts of cons, scams, and dishonest behaviour are on the rise, and even though my family’s new company, We Fix London, is only a few months into trading already we are having problems with companies passing themselves off as us.

First came the telephone complaints from people we’d never done work for, and now we’re fighting off a barrage of extremely damaging fake negative customer reviews on Google and Trustpilot for an outfit calling themselves We Fix 24 Ltd.

This kind of thing is so damaging that I’ve sent it to my lawyers, CohenDavis to deal with.
