They’re Coming Home! Why WEFIX London Is Growing at 240% Annually, While Others Are Going Backwards

When I sold the business I founded back in 1979, I genuinely thought that chapter of my life was over.
After more than four decades building Pimlico Plumbers into one of Britain’s best-known home services companies, and selling it in 2021 for around £150 million, I thought it was time to step away from the industry. But sometimes life has other ideas.
Over the years since the sale, I was contacted by countless former customers who all said much the same thing. They told me the service they had relied on for years wasn’t what it used to be. They missed the standards, the professionalism and the attention to detail that helped make the company successful in the first place.

A Star is Born

Eventually my son Scott, my grandson Ashley and I decided enough was enough, and at that moment WEFIX London was born. Fast forward to today and the results have exceeded even our most optimistic expectations.
In May 2026, WEFIX London completed 240% more jobs than it did in May 2025. That isn’t steady growth. That isn’t incremental progress. That’s explosive expansion.
So, what’s driving it? The answer is actually very simple. People want quality, they want reliability and they want tradespeople they can trust.

Experience is the Answer

Between Scott, Ashley and myself, we have accumulated more than 100 years of experience in the domestic plumbing, heating and home services industry. We know exactly what customers expect because we’ve spent our entire working lives listening to them. At WEFIX London, we have built the company around those expectations.
We recruit carefully and refuse to compromise on quality. We only employ people who meet the standards we would expect in our own homes. Every member of staff is DBS checked, giving customers complete confidence in the people they invite through their front door.

Our People are Key

We invest in the future through our apprenticeship programme because Britain desperately needs more skilled tradespeople. We don’t just talk about the skills shortage; we’re actively doing something about it.
We operate without franchising because maintaining standards matters. Every engineer, every electrician, every plumber and every member of our support team represent the WEFIX London brand directly.
Most importantly, we provide a genuine 24-hour service. Not a marketing slogan. Not a call answering service. A real 24-hour operation with our own staff answering phones and qualified engineers available around the clock, every day of the year.
That commitment is reflected in the hundreds of five-star reviews we’ve received on Google and Trustpilot. Customers recognise when a company genuinely cares about delivering a premium service. Of course, while WEFIX London has been investing, expanding and improving, others appear to have gone in a different direction.

Customers Notice

We’ve seen apprenticeship schemes disappear. We’ve seen call-centres outsourced after 10pm. We’ve seen customers told there are no engineers available overnight and that they’ll have to wait until the next day. We’ve also seen the introduction of franchise models that inevitably reduce the amount of control a company has over the service delivered under its name. Customers notice these things.
The evidence is right in front of us. Internal customer surveys suggest that as many as 70% of WEFIX London’s customers previously used Pimlico Plumbers before deciding to move elsewhere.
Businesses don’t grow by 240% in a year through luck. They grow because customers vote with their feet. At WEFIX London we’re proud to be winning that vote, one customer at a time.
The message from London homeowners couldn’t be clearer. They wanted the old standards back. We listened and delivered and believe me we’re only just getting started.
